B1NARY_ was premiered at the Science Gallery, Melbourne.
It is a sonic response to Zeth Cameron’s audiovisual work Word of Mouth, and was commissioned to accompany the Science Gallery Melbourne’s Break the Binaries exhibition.
This semi-improvised, participatory performance thinks about the voice, patterns of behaviour and the expansiveness of gender in a playful experiment.
While B1NARY_ is designed to function in tandem with Word of Mouth, it contains sections that are performable in isolation.
